Entrepreneur at heart

Do you enjoy creating projects in class, in a group or with your friends at school? The CJE supports youth in secondary school to develop their projects. In order for your project to come to fruition, you need to demonstrate that its daringness and creativity respond to a previously unmet need. All members of your group will share tasks and responsibilities and must be responsible for all decisions related to the project. That’s school-based entrepreneurship in a nutshell!

The projects you undertake will give you and your group the opportunity to acquire new skills that are transferable to all aspects of life.

Developing an entrepreneurial project or business within a school setting will prepare you for the workforce and give you a chance to meet people who can help you reach your goals, whatever they may be. It will also bring awareness to your strengths and provide you with the opportunity to exercise your leadership skills within your community. As soon as that IDEA comes to you, contact us, because everything starts with an idea!

The Coop d’initiation à l’entrepreneuriat collectif (“Collective entrepreneurship initiation”) is a prime example of a community-based entrepreneurial project. This academic program is an experiment in cooperative entrepreneurship that fosters autonomy and social integration. It also allows young entrepreneurs to have their first work experience.

Each summer for the last 20 years, youth ages 13-17 in the Haut-Saint-François have launched their own cooperative business venture and offered their services to the community.
